Werner Teufl
Werner Teufl (* 1936 in Copenhagen ) is a German gastronomy critic and film and non-fiction author .
Career
Teufl grew up in Munich. He completed an apprenticeship in the hotel and catering trade and then headed purchasing for a large trading company for more than 20 years. At the age of 54 he started his own business and has been offering culinary seminars ever since.
He is also the author of books on eating and drinking culture at home and abroad and has produced numerous films. Since 1998, he has shot more than 500 episodes for the series Schlemmerreise on Bavarian television . Since 2005 his films have also been shown in the Landgasthäuser series . The TV series “The most beautiful country inns in Germany” produced by Teufl started in October 2012 as part of the ARD buffet . In the meantime, Teufl also produces image films for the catering industry. Teufl has received several national and international awards for his work.
