West End Games

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

West End Games (often abbreviated as WEG ) was a role-playing game publisher from the USA. It was founded in 1974 in New York by Daniel Scott Palter. In 1999 the publishing house went bankrupt and was continued by Purgatory Publishing from 2004. In 2016 West End Games was bought by Stewart Wieck for his company Nocturnal Media, but he passed away in the summer of 2017.

The current status of the publisher is unclear, as the D6 system was to be placed under an open license and the rights to the games were sold, TORG to Ulisses games and Masterbook , Shatterzone and Bloodshadows to Precis Intermedia.
