The Westphalian Bell Museum is located in Gescher , a municipality of Borken in Münster Region .

The museum is housed in a listed small house, which was originally built in 1902 as a police station. A collection of bells, bells and bells, including two bells from Roman times , is shown on an area of ​​around 465 m² . The Association of the German Bell Museum eV can also be found under the umbrella of the Westphalian Bell Museum . It was created in 1984 and is dedicated to campanological research on a national and international level . It deals with scientific research on the topic of bells and relies, among other things, on the special library, which now comprises around 4,000 works. The results are communicated and exchanged in an annual colloquium as well as in the yearbook of bell history that has been published since 1989 .

Museum and association refer to each other as cooperation partners .
