The GEA Farm Technologies GmbH (until 2008 GEA WestfaliaSurge), headquartered in Bönen , Westphalia is, one of the two largest producers of milking equipment in the global market. B. milking parlors , cooling technology, feeding technology, herd management systems, milking hygiene, stable equipment and supplies. GEA Farm Technologies is part of the GEA Group and is the main component of the “GEA Farm Technologies” segment.

The product range offers system solutions for dairy farmers, for professional milk production and more profitability. High-tech systems for dairy herds from 5 to over 50,000 animals leave the factory halls at 11 locations. Worldwide sales are based on a dense network of subsidiaries and importers in more than 60 countries.

In April 2007 WestfaliaSurge took over J. Houle & Fils Inc. from Canada. J. Houle is the largest American manufacturer of manure technology. In addition, the MIone has been marketed as AMS since 2007 .

In 2008 the US company Norbco was taken over.

In 2008 the company was renamed from GEA WestfaliaSurge to GEA Farm Technologies.

In 2009 Wilaard Holding BV from the Netherlands with the brands Royal de Boer, Brouwers, Rico, Total Horse and Wilarus was taken over.

In 2010 the GEA Group took over the Danish manufacturer of automatic feeding in cattle sheds, SKIOLD Mullerup.
