Whale Bay Furrows
Coordinates: 78 ° 0 ′ S , 169 ° 0 ′ W
The Whale Bay Furrows (English for Walbuchtfurchen ) are shallow deep-sea trenches in the continental shelf of the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Ross Sea they run at the level of the Bay of the Whales .
The designation, recognized by the Advisory Committee for Undersea Features (ACUF) since April 1980 , was based on the Bay of Whales.
