What's New Pussycat? is a song written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David for the film of the same name in 1965 . The Tom Jones version of the song was nominated for an Oscar for Best Song. The song reached number three on the charts in the United States and number eleven in the UK . The song has been covered many times, including by Bobby Darin , Tony Bennett , Anita Kerr , The Four Seasons and Quincy Jones .
