Wheatstone (unit)

The Wheatstone ( symbol : wheatstone ), named after the English physicist Charles Wheatstone , was a unit of measurement of electrical resistance introduced in the United Kingdom in 1843 . It was defined as the electrical resistance experienced by a 1 foot long copper wire with a mass of 100 grains .
