White Flags Burning

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

White Flags Burning is a hardcore punk band from Berlin . Founded as a pure punk band under the name "Suspekt" in spring 2005, they renamed themselves "White Flags Burning" at the beginning of 2008 and have since integrated more and more hardcore influences.

history

A few weeks after the band was founded in April 2005, the first demo EP Eistee was recorded. At the turn of the year 2005/2006 the second demo EP with three own compositions was released: Face Your Enemy . In the summer of 2007 the first album As Punky As You Are was released , which, like the demo releases, contained both German and English songs.

In order to avoid confusion with bands of the same name, it renamed itself “White Flags Burning” in spring 2008. At the same time an EP of the same name was released with the song that gave it its name. A short time later, the song Freiheit was also featured on the CD insert of Taugenix Magazin 5. While a further German-language and exclusive title ( Ja & Amen ) appeared on Schlachtrufe BRD 9 , which appeared at the end of 2008, the band has since been working on exclusively English-language material with a much more aggressive sound and hardcore influences. In July 2009, the second long player State of Injustice was released .
