Wickrathhahn is a rural village in the area of the city of Mönchengladbach in the city district West .
geology
Most of the Mönchengladbach urban area is located in the Lower Rhine Bay . The district of Wickrathhahn is located at an altitude of around 75 m above sea level. NN and is therefore one of the highest villages in Mönchengladbach. For comparison, the northern part of the urban area is at an altitude of almost 30 meters. Due to the favorable "altitude", the district of Wickrathhahn is often spared from thunderstorms, as these usually fall over the lower northern parts of the urban area due to the updrafts.
