Resettlement
Resettlement is the name given to the human plan to make an animal or plant species that has died out in a certain habitat home again.
For this purpose, specimens can be relocated if there are sufficient stocks in other areas. Alternatively, specimens raised in captivity can be released into the wild . This also applies to plants.
Resettlement projects can only be successfully implemented in the long term if the causes of the extinction are eliminated (usually habitat improvements).
Resettlements are often organized by wildlife managers and wildlife ecologists.
