The WTM Museum Depot Traiskirchen of the Vienna Tramway Museum Association is located in the commercial park of the town of Traiskirchen in the Baden district in Lower Austria .

In connection with the implementation of a new museum concept with themed islands and a spacious event area, there was not only less space in general for the vehicle exhibition, but even more so for the WTM museum vehicles.

As a result, the WTM association, as the owner, was forced to look for a suitable hall for a new museum depot for its vehicles and their spare parts that were worth preserving.

New location in Traiskirchen

After an intensive search, those responsible found the right property with a direct track connection to the network of the Wiener Lokalbahn (WLB) in the former Semperit factory of the tire manufacturer Semperit AG , now the Traiskirchen business park . A hall and additional space for vehicle spare parts were rented there. The hall building was converted into four wide hall gates for eight tracks for use as a museum depot. A restoration workshop was also set up.

This means that not only can the museum vehicles be parked in the WTM Museum Depot in Traiskirchen , but the vehicles that have not yet been refurbished can also be restored to a condition worth exhibiting, so that they can be viewed alternately with those in Erdberg.
