Viennese magazine on the history of modern times
Wiener Zeitschrift zur Geschichte der Neuzeit ( WZGN for short ) was a historical specialist journal that appeared twice a year in Vienna from 2001 to 2010. The associated series of publications was known as Wiener Schriften zur Geschichte der Neuzeit ( WSGN ). Karl Vocelka acted as managing editor .
The journal was published as a follow-up to the anthologies published between 1974 and 2000 in the series Vienna Contributions to the History of Modern Times . The journal was interdisciplinary and published articles with a thematic focus on the history of modern times (15th century to the present day).
