Wieslaw Banach
Wiesław Banach (born January 26, 1953 in Kościan ) is a Polish art historian and author. He has been director of the Sanok Historical Museum since 1990 .
After studying art history at the Catholic University of Lublin , he came to Sanok in 1977 as a staff member. During his studies he began his professional activity as part of an internship and practical experience as an assistant in the museum, from 1990 director of the Sanok Historical Museum.
The researcher of the German and French paintings of the 19th and 20th centuries including the Polish works of the artists belonging to the École de Paris . He is also considered to be Beksiński's first biographer , who knows the greatest secrets of Zdzisław Beksiński's art.
