Wii Street U or Wii Street U powered by Google was a paid application for the Wii U from Nintendo that was released on February 14, 2013. The service was developed together with Google in order to be able to use the Google Street View function (known from Google Maps ) on the console. The Wii U GamePad was used to control it , so that one could “ look around” using the built-in motion sensors. Optionally, the control could be expanded with the Wii Balance Board . In the Miiverse , users could upload pictures of places they visited. There were small Easter eggs to discover all over the virtual globe .

The service was discontinued as of March 31, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. ( local time ).
