Wilbur is a Danish - Canadian - American animated series for children that was produced between 2007 and 2008.

Wilbur is an eight year old calf who absolutely loves books. Sure that books have all the answers, he often takes his barnyard friends through stories to help them find the information they're looking for. Children learn from on-screen vocabulary while Wilbur tries to demonstrate that "books are sophisticated".

Production and publication

The series was produced between 2007 and 2008 by Mercury Filmworks, Egmont Imagination, Chilco Productions, EKA Distribution and Discovery Kids Original Production in the United States, Canada and Denmark. A season with 27 episodes was created.

The series first aired on April 21, 2007 on Discovery Kids . The German first broadcast took place on May 5, 2008 on KiKA . Other repetitions were also made on Playhouse Disney and Super RTL . The series was also released on DVD .
