In the Wilderness National Park

The Wilderness National Park was a national park in South Africa. It stretched from the mouth of the Touw River in Wilderness to beyond the Swartvlei , where it merged into the Goukamma Nature Reserve . In doing so, he protected five lakes and the serpentine , a winding watercourse that connects Island Lake with the Touw River (at the level of the Ebb-and-Flow Rest Camp ).

A coastal landscape with lakes, rivers, inlets and beaches stretches along the Garden Route against the backdrop of lush forests and lofty mountains. In this setting of Wilderness National Park, nature trails run through dense forests and along calm rivers.

On March 6, 2009, it was incorporated into the Garden Route National Park .
