Wilhelm Square

Philipp Wilhelm Platz (born June 7, 1866 in Weinheim , † November 17, 1929 in Freudenstadt ) was a German writer.

He was the son of the machine manufacturer Philipp Platz and Elisabetha born. Büchel and grandson of the mechanic Wilhelm Platz, the founder of the Badenia machine factory in Weinheim. In Karlsruhe he became a member of the Corps Cheruskia . Philipp Wilhelm Platz became known as a “poet and engineer” through the publication of various works with reference to the Odenwald and Electoral Palatinate.
