Wilhelmenia Fernandez
Wilhelmenia Fernandez (occasionally Wilhelmenia Wiggins Fernandez , * 1949 in Philadelphia ) is an American opera singer ( soprano ).
Life
She gained international fame through her role as Cynthia Hawkins in the film Diva by French director Jean-Jacques Seeleix (1981). Her repertoire includes classical opera literature as well as songs by Gershwin or Spirituals .
