Wilhelms Medal (Hanover)

The Wilhelms Medal was donated by King Wilhelm IV of Hanover on June 22, 1837 and could be awarded to NCOs and crews for at least 15 years of military service . The medal is a silver medal and shows the image of the founder or the ruling monarch on the obverse. On the back are the words FOR SIXTEEN YEARS OF LOYALTY SERVICES . The ribbon is dark red with dark blue stripes and the award was worn on the left side of the chest.
