Willem van Twillert

Willem van Twillert (* 1952 ) is a Dutch organist and composer .

Van Twillert studied organ, improvisation, conducting and composition at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam . In 1976 he completed the diploma for church music and in 1978 the concert exam for improvisation (with distinction). In 2005 he was the second laureate and winner of the Audience Award of the International Hinsz Composition Competition in Kampen. In 2008 he won the Prix ​​Gaston Litaize in Comminges . He works as a church organist in Amersfoort .
