Willi Körber (born May 12, 1911 in Springe ; † unknown) was a German Nazi functionary and youth leader.

Life

After attending school, Körber studied political science at the University of Munich . Between 1930 and 1931 he began to get involved in the NS student union . Baldur von Schirach , the leader of the Hitler Youth (HJ), who became aware of Körber on this occasion, brought him to the leadership of the HJ in 1931 as head of the press and propaganda department. In this capacity, Körber organized, among other things, the Reich Youth Day in Potsdam in October 1932. In December 1932, Körber was appointed head of Department S of the Hitler Youth leadership, which dealt with training and cultural work. He was also the editor and editor of the National Socialist Reich Youth Press Service .

In the summer of 1933 he was appointed Obergebietsführer of the Hitler Youth. He also became a member of the Federal Committee of the Reichsbund for Open-Air and Popular Drama. According to HJ leader Artur Axmann , Körber was a "lively, always in a good mood and knowledgeable man of the pen", who was called "Quicks" in the HJ leadership . Schirach again characterized Körber as "one of the greatest propagandistic talents of the [Nazi] movement, plus a comrade whose loyalty has become famous among the National Socialist youth." In 1934, Körber rose to senior district leader in the Hitler Youth.
