William Jones (rower)

William Jones is a former Uruguayan rower .

Jones was a member of the Uruguayan squad at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London . At the Games in England he won the bronze medal on the Henley Royal Regatta Course on August 9, 1948 in a double rowing scull alongside Juan Rodríguez, behind the Olympic champions Dickie Burnell and Bert Bushnell from Great Britain and the runner -up with Aage Larsen and Ebbe Parsner Boat of Denmark. The two Uruguayans, who belonged to Club Remeros Paysandú , were trained by Wilfredo Raymondo, who died in 2010.
