William Moise

William Moise (* 1922 , † 1980 ) was an American graphic artist. He was best known as an abstract-impressionist painter of American regionalism.

One of his favorite subjects was the landscape of his hometown Down East , Maine. In 1970 he wrote and published the book The Taste of Color, Touch of Love: The Creative World of Abstract Impressionism .

Moise was married to Eva Reich until 1973 . He died at the age of only 58 after playing tennis.
