The Willie Clancy Summer School ( Irish Scoil Samhraidh Willie Clancy ) is an annual meeting since 1973 in Miltown Malbay , County Clare , dedicated to traditional Irish music .

The festival is held in honor of the bagpiper Willie Clancy . It starts on the first Saturday in July and lasts for a week. With over a thousand visitors, it is the largest such gathering in Ireland. Irish music and dance classes are held at various locations in and around Miltown Malbay each morning . Lectures, recitals, céilithe and exhibitions are held in the afternoons and evenings .
