Eyelash curler

Eyelash curler

An eyelash curler is used  to deform the eyelashes  - especially the upper eyelid - so that they curve upwards more than naturally.

The device, reminiscent of a pair of scissors , is curved at the tips and padded with strips of velvet or plastic . These ends are placed on the eyelid and the eyelashes are pressed into shape by closing the scissors for a few seconds to a minute. The effect lasts for several hours, especially if the eyelashes are then inked . There are also electrically heated devices based on the model of the curling iron , which work faster and last longer.

Eyelash curlers should only be used before applying make -up and can damage the eyelashes if they are used too often.
