Windows Identity Foundation

Windows Identity Foundation ( WIF ) is a Microsoft technology that provides APIs for ASP.NET and WCF developers. This can be used to program applications that are suitable for claims-based authentication and federation .

Windows Identity Foundation was developed under the code name Geneva Framework .
