The Bruck an der Leitha wind farm is a wind farm in Bruck an der Leitha in eastern Lower Austria .
The park, which was built in 2000 with public participation , consists of five Enercon E66 / 18.70 turbines with a hub height of 65 m and a rotor diameter of 70 m. The total installed capacity is 9 megawatts.
The wind farm has been operated since 2009 by VERBUND Renewable Power GmbH , a subsidiary of Verbund AG .
Observation wind turbine
A special feature of the wind park is a wind power plant with an integrated viewing platform . The most easterly of the five wind turbines (at 48 ° 1 ′ 57.9 ″ N , 16 ° 43 ′ 57.2 ″ E ) is equipped with a viewing platform at a height of 60 m . This observation wind turbine is one of only two such in Austria (next to the Lichtenegg wind turbine ) and one of fewer than a dozen worldwide.
