Wind turbine at Nowy Tomyśl

The Nowy Tomyśl wind farm is a wind farm in Poland where the two highest wind turbines in the world at that time were installed in 2012 . The Fuhrländer FL-2500 wind turbines used there have a rotor diameter of 100 meters, with the nacelles resting on a particularly high steel lattice tower with a hub height of 160 meters. This results in a total height of 210 meters. The two systems in the wind park thus replaced the Laasow wind turbine with a total height of 205 meters as the highest wind turbine, which has held this top position since 2006. At the beginning of 2013, the three turbines were the only wind turbines whose total height exceeded 200 meters. In January 2014 they lost this height record to an MHI Vestas V164 installed in Denmark .
