Winfried Hamel

Winfried Hamel (born February 5, 1943 in Breslau ) held the chair for corporate management, organization and personnel at the University of Düsseldorf from 1992 to 2008 .

academic career

Winfried Hamel graduated from high school in Mannheim in 1962, and after completing an internship at the Gerling Group, he studied business administration at the University of Mannheim . In 1972 he received his doctorate as Dr. rer. pole. at the University of Munich and in 1979 the habilitation at the University of the Saarland in Saarbrücken. In 1982 Hamel accepted a professorship for business administration and human resources management at the University of Cologne, in 1989 he moved to a chair at the University of Essen; In 1992 he accepted the position at the University of Düsseldorf.
