Winfried Hardinghaus

Winfried Hardinghaus is a German medic.

Life

Hardinghaus studied medicine at the Universities of Münster and Heidelberg from 1969 to 1975 . He received his clinical training a. a. in the Heidelberg University Hospital .

In 1987 he became chief physician of internal medicine and in 1996 medical director of the Niels Stensen clinics in Ostercappeln and Georgsmarienhütte. In 2009 he became head of the Lower Saxony coordination and advice center for hospice work and palliative care and founded the hospice and palliative support point Osnabrück and was its chairman. Since 2014 he has also been chairman of the German Hospice and Palliative Association. From 2002 to 2007 he was also President of the German Society for Interdisciplinary Clinical Medicine eV

Since 2015 he has been chief physician at the clinic for palliative medicine at the Franziskus Hospital in Berlin.

Awards

Hardinghaus has been the recipient of the Order of Merit 1st Class of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany since 2016 .
