In Winik is a Cygwin - Distribution under Windows can be installed as a normal computer program .
Winik is very similar to Unix or Linux . The user can get to know Linux with its various programs from within Windows. The following window managers are currently available :
The current version of the distribution, Release 6a from May 24, 2005, currently consists of two CD-ROMs with specially adapted software and around a dozen different window managers. Since this version, Winik does not seem to be further developed.
