We in Pforzheim

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

We in Pforzheim (WiP) is a political citizens' initiative in Pforzheim , which wants to advocate greater participation of citizens in political decisions and a stronger social system in the city.

Emergence

The citizens 'initiative was created at the beginning of 2008 from the citizens' initiative BIB - Busse in Bürgerhand and the Social Forum Pforzheim / Enzkreis . There are also members of the “Mehr Demokratie eV” association. The group is financed exclusively from contributions and non-deductible private donations. It is not a registered association and therefore not a legal person, but only a loose association of committed people in Pforzheim.

Local election 2009

In the 2009 local elections in Baden-Württemberg, the citizens' initiative took part in elections for the first time, won two seats in the Pforzheim municipal council and was able to collect 4.5% of the votes cast.
