Landlord Għawdex
The host Għawdex is based on voluntary membership non-governmental organization on the Maltese island of Gozo , which, like the English National Trust , in the field of historic preservation operates. The organization, founded in 1981, is financed through membership fees and sponsoring.
Host Għawdex wants to promote the knowledge and preservation of the natural, archaeological, historical and anthropological heritage of the islands of Gozo and Comino . To this end, the organization carries out public relations work and takes part in political discussions in the areas of restoration, rehabilitation and management of the islands' cultural and natural heritage. In addition, special educational programs are offered for schoolchildren. Wirt Għawdex is also involved in the restoration of architectural monuments with the Ministry for Gozo and other organizations.
The organization is run by a committee. The current chairman of this committee is Franco Masini . The headquarters of the organization is in Rabat .
