The Scientific Works from Burgenland (WAB) have been published as a series of publications by the Burgenland State Museum since 1954. Up to five volumes are published annually. The thematic focuses range from archeology, geology, botany, zoology and folklore to musicology and contemporary history. Among other things, the volumes accompanying the exhibitions in the State Museum and State Gallery traditionally appear in this publication series. The WAB also offered itself as an organ of scientific symposia, especially the Schlaininger Talks . 161 volumes had appeared by 2018.
