The Science and Restoration Center (WRZ) of the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation is a workshop for painting, frame, textile and paper restoration in the Brandenburg suburb in Potsdam .

The facility is located in Potsdamer Zimmerstrasse and comprises six buildings. The entrance building with cafeteria and offices is the listed society house "Zum Alten Fritz", which was also the venue for the Hans Otto Theater for a long time . To the north, five new buildings by the architect Volker Staab for the workshops, studios and a public library complete the complex.

The building complex, which has a total area of ​​around 10,000 m², is divided into the following sections:

Work

Since August 2017, the royal parade bed of the Hohenzollern dynasty from Charlottenburg Palace , which King Friedrich I had made in 1706, has been undergoing general restoration. The work should be completed in 2019.
