Science Propaedeutic Seminar

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A science propaedeutic seminar (also known as a W seminar ) is a seminar in the upper secondary school in Bavaria that every student in the 11th and 12th grades must attend.

The W seminar is assigned to a specific subject area (e.g. physics ) and deals with a previously defined general topic (e.g. the physics of flight).

Each student has to write a term paper within this general topic, the length of which should be 10 to 15 pages. After submitting the seminar paper, there is a final presentation followed by a presentation of the topic. The purpose of the presentation is to present the main results of the seminar paper.
