Widow ring

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The widow ring consists of the two wedding rings of a married couple joined together after a spouse has died. The name widow's ring indicates that it is mainly worn by the surviving wives.

For this purpose, the rings are reworked by a goldsmith or jeweler . One possibility is to connect the rings with bars.

In some regions or families, it is customary to wear both wedding rings as a surviving spouse.
