Witzbold is a comic magazine that was published monthly by Volksverlag from April 1982 .

The magazine contains translations of the French comic series Gai-Luron by Marcel Gotlieb . The main characters in the black and white comics, often only two pages long, are the apathetic-looking dog joker , who is called Gai-Luron in French , and the much livelier fox Jojo (in the original jujube ).

The publication of the magazine was discontinued with issue 9. Issue 10 only appeared as part of an anthology containing issues 1–10.
