Schlabendorf am See ( Lower Sorbian Chóžyšća ) is a district of the town of Luckau in the Dahme-Spreewald district in Brandenburg .

Schlabendorf am See is located in Niederlausitz between Luckau and Calau , northeast of the Schlabendorfer See lake of the same name . Neighboring places are Egsdorf and Willmersdorf-Stöbritz in the north, Zinnitz (zu Calau) in the southeast, Görlsdorf in the west and its municipality Garrenchen in the northwest.

history

Schlabendorfer See

Schlabendorf am See was first mentioned in a document in 1210. On July 1, 1950, the now excavated town of Presenchen was incorporated into Schlabendorf am See.

Since 1960 there has been a construction freeze for new buildings, as Schlabendorf am See was intended to be over- dredged for the Schlabendorf-Süd opencast mine . However, due to the fall of the Berlin Wall , it was decided to shut down the opencast mine and avert over-dredging.
