Willmersdorf-Stöbritz ( Lower Sorbian Rogozno-Stobrice ) is a district of the city of Luckau in the Brandenburg district of Dahme-Spreewald . Until it was incorporated on December 31, 1999, Willmersdorf-Stöbritz was an independent municipality, which in turn emerged on October 1, 1962 from the municipalities of Stöbritz and Willmersdorf .
location
Willmersdorf-Stöbritz is located in Niederlausitz , about ten kilometers from Luckau and Lübbenau . In the east, the double village borders directly on the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district . Surrounding villages are Alteno in the north, the Lübbenau districts Groß Radden in the northeast and Hindenberg in the east, Egsdorf in the southwest and Cahnsdorf in the west. The former neighboring village of stossdorf to the south was devastated in the early 1960s by the Schlabendorf-Nord open-cast lignite mine .
The state road L 526 runs through the district of Stöbritz from Luckau to Zerkwitz , and through the district of Willmersdorf, the district road K 6126 to Duben . To the south-east of Stöbritz is the Stöbritzer See , named after the place , which, however, is already in the Hindenberger district.
history
Willmersdorf was first mentioned in 1397 as Willamsdorf . The place name is derived from the German personal name Wilhelm. In 1487 the name Wilmißdorf was mentioned . The Sorbian place name Rogozno is translated by Arnošt Muka as a village on the Binsenbach .
Stöbritz was first mentioned in 1346 as Stobericz . The place name comes from the Sorbian and means settlement with fences .
After the Congress of Vienna , the then independent communities of Willmersdorf and Stöbritz with the entire Lower Lusatia came to the Kingdom of Prussia and belonged to the district of Luckau . In 1952 Willmersdorf and Stöbritz came to the newly founded Luckau district . On October 1, 1962, the Willmersdorf and Stöbritz residential areas were merged to form the new Willmersdorf-Stöbritz community. This formed from May 25, 1992 to December 30, 1999 together with 15 other communities and the city of Luckau, the Luckau office . On December 31, 1999 Willmersdorf-Stöbritz was incorporated into the city of Luckau.
