Frankendorf village church

Frankendorf was first mentioned in a document in 1299 as Frankindorff . The place name can be traced back to Frankish settlers. The Frankendorf village church was built in the 14th century.

Frankendorf was incorporated into Görlsdorf on July 1, 1950 . From 1952, the community of Görlsdorf and thus also the district of Frankendorf belonged to the Luckau district . After the reunification, Frankendorf was from May 25, 1992 to October 25, 2003, the office of Luckau. On December 6, 1993 Görlsdorf came with Frankendorf to the newly founded district of Dahme-Spreewald. On October 26, 2003 Görlsdorf was incorporated with Frankendorf to Luckau .
