history
The history of the municipality of Heideblick is the history of the individual municipalities until 1997. Many of the individual communities developed from manors that served as the main points of settlement between 1200 and 1400. The district of Falkenberg is one of the oldest known settlements in the Mark Brandenburg (first documented mention in 1207).
The current districts of the municipality belonged to the district of Luckau in the Prussian province of Brandenburg since 1817 (Langengrassau, Schwarzenburg and Wüstermarke to the district of Schweinitz in the province of Saxony ). In 1952, the places were incorporated into the Luckau district in the GDR district of Cottbus . Since 1993 they have been in the Dahme-Spreewald district of Brandenburg.
As part of the formation of offices in the state of Brandenburg in 1992, ten communities in what was then the Luckau district merged to form the Heideblick office . The municipality of Weißack was also assigned by decree. On August 19, 1992, the Minister of the Interior of the State of Brandenburg approved the formation of the Heideblick Office. August 28, 1992 was set as the date on which the office was established. The office was based in the municipality of Langengrassau :
- Bornsdorf
- Falkenberg
- Miter
- Goßmar
- Langengrassau
- Pitch pimples
- Walddrehna
- Waltersdorf
- Desert brand
- Beesdau
- Riedebeck
On December 31, 1997, the Bornsdorf and Weißack communities merged to form the new Berstequell community. On December 31, 1997, the communities of Gehren, Langengrassau, Waltersdorf and Wüstermarke merged to form the new community of Heideblick.
On December 31, 2001 the communities of Beesdau, Berstequell, Falkenberg, Goßmar, Heideblick and Pitschen-Pickel merged to form the new community of Heideblick. As part of the municipal reform in Brandenburg, the municipality of Walddrehna was incorporated into the municipality of Heideblick by law on October 26, 2003. The Heideblick office was dissolved, and the Heideblick community became vacant.
In November 2011, in a public survey, the municipality of Heideblick was rejected from joining the city of Luckau.

Buildings
- In the area of the district Walddrehna there is an unusual church building, a small church from the 13th century, to which a vestibule, open on three sides, was added as a bell carrier with a solid conical helmet made of brick. The high pointed arcades rest on two round pillars made of field stone, which some historians consider the remains of a pre-Christian sanctuary. However, this opinion is very controversial. The tower, the apse and the Gothic-style window and door openings date from the time of the Hussite Wars .
- The village church Pitschen is a field stone church from the 15th century with a patronage box from 1675. Inside there is a pulpit altar with an attachment from 1684 and a pulpit basket from 1725/1726.
- The village church Wehnsdorf is a field stone church from the 15th century. About 1675 the enlarged church windows and built on the south side two extensions. Inside there is an altarpiece from around 1720/1730.
- There is a post mill from 1853 in Falkenberg.
- In the Waltersdorf district on the southern outskirts at the fork in the Gehren-Bahnhof there is a sandstone atonement cross .
Museums
The Höllberghof open-air museum is located north of Wüstermarke . The museum shows a typical farm from around 1800. In the outdoor area, cultural events take place regularly. Visitors can expect rustic cuisine in the farm's own restaurant. In the district of Schwarzenburg there is a school museum, which can be visited after prior registration.
Economy and Infrastructure
Nowadays Heideblick lives primarily from agriculture and tourism. A former lignite mining is no longer in operation. The local economy primarily serves local needs.
