Neusorgefeld is part of the municipality of Walddrehna , a district of the municipality of Heideblick in the Dahme-Spreewald district in Brandenburg . Until it was incorporated into Walddrehna on January 1, 1961, Neusorgefeld was an independent municipality.

location

Neusorgefeld is located in the west of Niederlausitz on a clearing in the Rochauer Heide , about twelve kilometers as the crow flies southwest of the city of Luckau . Surrounding villages are Wüstermarke in the north, Waltersdorf in the Northeast, Miter in the east, Walddrehna the southeast, Schwarzenburg in the southwest, in the Elbe-Elster district villages lying Hohenbucko and Lebusa in the West as well as in the district of Teltow-Fläming lying Altsorgefeld in the northwest.

From Neusorgefeld there is a road to Gehren and a road to Walddrehna. The national road 562 runs about three kilometers east of the village.

history

Neusorgefeld was first mentioned in a document in 1778 as the Vorwerk of the Lebusa rule . The place name describes a settlement on dry or barren ground. At that time the place belonged to the historical office of Schlieben .

As a result of the Congress of Vienna in 1815, the entire Lower Lusatia came to the Kingdom of Prussia . There was the community of Neusorgefeld in the district of Schweinitz in the administrative district of Merseburg of the province of Saxony . After the dissolution of the province of Saxony in April 1944, Neusorgefeld came to the province of Halle-Merseburg . From 1947 to July 1952, the community of Neusorgefeld was therefore in Saxony-Anhalt . On July 1, 1950, the district of Schweinitz was renamed the district of Herzberg and the community of Neusorgefeld and four other communities were reclassified to the district of Luckau in the state of Brandenburg .

When the district was newly formed in the GDR on July 25, 1952, Neusorgefeld was assigned to the newly founded district of Luckau in the Cottbus district . On January 1, 1961, the community of Neusorgefeld was incorporated into Walddrehna . After the reunification , Neusorgefeld was initially in the Brandenburg district of Luckau, after the district reform in December 1993 the village became part of the Dahme-Spreewald district . On October 26, 2003, the municipality of Walddrehna and its districts were incorporated into the municipality of Heideblick . Neusorgefeld was then downgraded from a local to a municipality part.
