Location of Wüstermarke in Brandenburg

Wüstermarke is a district of the community Heideblick in the Dahme-Spreewald district in Brandenburg .

history

The oldest written mention of the place Wüstermarke so far comes from the year 1376. There are a number of indications that suggest that Wüstermarke is identical to the village of Windischemark (which was certainly deserted for a few decades). Since 1739 the Wüstermarke was owned by the von Pfuel family . Gustav Lebrecht von Pfuel († 1787), senior regional hunter in the service of Prince Friedrich III. and Ernst II was the master of the Wüstermarke and Waltersdorf . His tomb is in the village church.

The Höllberghof is located north of Wüstermarke . The rural three-sided courtyard was redesigned in 1991 based on a 200-year-old model. The working farm was built from wood, clay, reeds, stone and straw.

Architectural monuments

In the list of monuments in Heideblick there is a monument for Wüstermarke :

  • The Protestant village church dates from the 15th century. It is built from field stones . On the south side you can still see two walled up late Gothic portals. In 1787 the stone building was renewed and a boarded roof tower was added. The pulpit altar presumably comes from the renovation phase of 1787. On the south wall of the church there is a classicist grave monument , made in 1803 for Gustav Leberecht v. Pfuel († 1787) and Christiane Friederike Wilhelmine v. Pfuel († 1803) erected. On a massive lower part stands a sarcophagus , on the lid of which the family coats of arms of the deceased as well as a large flame vase with inscription plaques were attached.
