Langengrassau is a district of the municipality Heideblick in the Dahme-Spreewald district in Brandenburg . Until it was incorporated into Heideblick on December 31, 1997, Langengrassau was an independent municipality.
location
Langengrassau is located in Niederlausitz , about five kilometers southwest of the city of Luckau . Surrounding towns are the Luckau districts of Paserin in the north, Zöllmersdorf in the northeast and Wittmannsdorf in the east, Waltersdorf in the south, Wüstermarke in the southwest and Uckro, which in turn belongs to Luckau, in the northwest.
The place is on the B 87 . The B 102 runs north and the B 96 to the east . The Beke flows through the district of Langengrassau .
history
Langengrassau was first mentioned in the church register of the diocese of Meißen from 1346 as Gressaw . The place name means something like "village in the grass meadow". In 1672 the place name Langengraßau appears for the first time , the addition Langen- serves to distinguish it from Grassau in today's Elbe-Elster district .
