The community of Unterspreewald ( Lower Sorbian Dolne Błota ) is located in the Dahme-Spreewald district in Brandenburg . It is administered by the Unterspreewald Office.

history
Leibsch, Neu Lübbenau and Neuendorf am See belonged to the Beeskow-Storkow district in the province of Brandenburg since 1816 and to the Lübben district in the GDR district of Cottbus from 1952 . Since 1993, the places have been in the Dahme-Spreewald district of Brandenburg.
The community emerged on December 31, 2001 from the voluntary amalgamation of the previously independent communities Leibsch, Neu Lübbenau and Neuendorf am See.
Leibsch was first mentioned in 1004 as Liubsi . The "Colonie Neu Lübbenau" was founded in the middle of the 18th century. The original name of the place was "Libbenauerei im Schadowschen Busch". Around 1200, the old fishing village of Neuendorf am See was an outbuilding of the Mönchehofe monastery (today Münchehofe ).

The coat of arms was approved on March 13, 2015 by the Ministry of the Interior of Brandenburg.
Blazon : "Under a green shield head, in it three silver pine apples in bars, in gold a black dragonfly with blue wings, accompanied by two black cattails with bent leaves according to the figure."
The municipality took over the national emblem approved by the old Unterspreewald office in 1996 .
Attractions
The village church of Neu Lübbenau , built in 1939, is on the list of monuments . The Neuendorfer See also belongs to the community .

The community of Unterspreewald is located on the federal highway 179 between Märkisch Buchholz and Groß Leuthen .
