The Unterspreewald office is located in the Dahme-Spreewald district of Brandenburg . Ten municipalities are united in an administrative association. It was created on January 1, 2013 through the merger of the (old) Unterspreewald Office and the Golßener Land Office . The official seat is the city of Golßen . It is named after the location in the Unterspreewald , the northern part of the Spreewald.

Geographical location

The Unterspreewald office is located in the middle of the Dahme-Spreewald district and borders in the north on the office Schenkenländchen and the unofficial city of Storkow (Mark) , in the east on the municipality of Märkische Heide , in the south on the unofficial cities of Lübben (Spreewald) and Luckau , in the southwest and west to the Dahme / Mark district ( Teltow-Fläming district ) and to the Baruth / Mark district (also Teltow-Fläming district) in the northwest and north .

Jens-Hermann Kleine, the former official director of the (old) Unterspreewald office , was elected official director on February 19, 2013. He ended his activity in January 2018 to move to the Diepholz district as a district councilor .

On February 20, 2018, Henri Urchs was elected as his successor by the official committee for a term of office of eight years.

The coat of arms was approved by the Ministry of the Interior of Brandenburg on October 8, 2014.

Blazon : "In gold, obliquely to the left, divided by blue wavy bars, in front a black dragonfly with blue wings according to the figure, accompanied by two black cattails with bent leaves, behind on a green floor a gold-armored black boar walking to the left."
