history

Schiebsdorf was first mentioned in a document on February 20, 1345 under the name Schirpsdorph . Schiebsdorf is laid out as a typical Wendish line village with residential buildings on one side and stables on the other side of the street. Arnošt Muka derives the place name from the Sorbian term sypaś = " pour up". Sorbian was spoken well into the 19th century .

After sliding village had previously changed hands several times, the place was a council village of the city of Luckau from 1572 to the middle of the 19th century. In the course of the land reform in 1945 , the land was divided among the farmers of the village.

After the Congress of Vienna , the former Saxon town of Schiebsdorf came under the control of the Kingdom of Prussia . On July 25, 1952, the community was assigned to the newly formed Luckau district in the Cottbus district . After the fall of the Wall , Schiebsdorf was in the Luckau district in Brandenburg . On August 30, 1992 the community joined the Golßener Land office . After the district reform in Brandenburg on December 6, 1993 , Schiebsdorf finally came to the newly formed district of Dahme-Spreewald . On 31 December 2002 sliding village was with the hitherto independent community also Jetsch by Kasel-Golzig incorporated. On January 1, 2013, the Golßener Land office was dissolved and Kasel-Golzig and its districts were reclassified to the Unterspreewald office .
