The Golßener Land office was an office in Brandenburg formed in 1992 , in which originally nine municipalities in what was then the district of Luckau (today the district of Dahme-Spreewald , Brandenburg) had merged to form an administrative association. The seat of the official administration was in the city of Golßen . As a result of incorporations and community amalgamations, the number of officially affiliated communities had recently been reduced to four communities. On January 1, 2013, it merged with the Unterspreewald office to form the new Unterspreewald office , based in Golßen.

Geographical location

The office was in the southwest of the Dahme-Spreewald district in Brandenburg (Germany). It bordered in the east on the Unterspreewald office , in the south on the unofficial city of Luckau , in the southwest and west on the Dahme / Mark ( district of Teltow-Fläming ) and in the northwest and north on the unofficial city of Baruth / Mark (also in the district of Teltow- Fläming).

history

On August 15, 1992, the Minister of the Interior of Brandenburg gave his consent to the formation of the Golßener Land office. August 20, 1992 was set as the date on which the office was established. The office was based in the city of Golßen and initially consisted of nine communities in what was then the Luckau district :

  1. Falcon Grove
  2. Glienig
  3. Jetsch
  4. Kasel-Golzig
  5. Mahlsdorf
  6. Sliding village
  7. Sellendorf
  8. Use
  9. City of Golßen

On May 1, 1998, the municipality of Mahlsdorf was incorporated into the city of Golßen. On December 31, 2002, the communities of Glienig and Sellendorf merged to form the community of Steinreich. On the same date the community of Zützen was incorporated into the town of Golßen, and the communities of Jetsch and Schiebsdorf were incorporated into the community of Kasel-Golzig; and the communities Drahnsdorf ( Amt Luckau ) and Falkenhain merged to form the new community Drahnsdorf. On January 1, 2013, it merged with the Unterspreewald office to form the new Unterspreewald office , based in Golßen.

Population development

The population of the Golßener Land office has decreased by over 900 people in the twenty years since the office was in existence. According to the Brandenburg official regulations (Section 3, Paragraph 1), an office should have at least 5,000 inhabitants. This figure was already undercut in 2003, so a reorganization of the municipal structure was actually already overdue.
