Landwehr is part of the municipality of Golßen in the Dahme-Spreewald district in Brandenburg .

location

Landwehr lies on the border of Niederlausitz between the Niedere Fläming and the Lausitzer Heideland. Surrounding towns are the town Golßen in the Northeast, Zützen the east, Sagritz in the southeast, the Dahnsdorfer district of Falkenhain in the south, to the municipality Steinreich belonging districts Hohendorf in the southwest and Sellendorf in the West as well as the associated turn Golßen Gemeindeteil Altgolßen in the northwest.

The Berlin – Dresden railway runs past the town to the west.

history

The street village was first mentioned in 1455 as "Lantwere". In the Middle Ages the place served as a defense system for Golßen Castle , hence the name of the place. Landwehr was then under the manorial rule of the Golßen rule .

After the agreements of the Congress of Vienna , Landwehr came to the Kingdom of Prussia in 1815 and was located in the district of Luckau in the administrative district of Frankfurt . On July 1, 1950, together with Prierow, they were incorporated into Golßen . On July 25, 1952, Landwehr was assigned to the newly formed Luckau district in the Cottbus district . After the fall of the Wall , the community part was in the Luckau district in Brandenburg . After the district reform in Brandenburg on December 6, 1993 , Landwehr was assigned to the newly formed district of Dahme-Spreewald .

On August 30, 1992, Landwehr was attached to the Golßener Land office. This merged on January 1, 2013 with the Unterspreewald office . As a result, the Golßener Land office was dissolved and the villages were reclassified into the newly formed Unterspreewald office .
